Staying engaged in trying times

As Covid-19 impacts our business and our colleagues the world over, it makes us proud to hear the stories of how teams are coming together (virtually) and reaching out in many ways to brave it in these trying times.

In the UK, the JDE team looked to stay connected and engaged by working more closely with their partners. Here, they are giving us some insights into how they have been dealing these past months.  

 

Teaming up with distributors in the UK

 

Over the past months, JDE in the UK has been engaging regularly with distribution partners through – much appreciated – video meetings, discussing anything from business issues, to health and family life. In addition, our UK colleagues organized Cafitesse Bite Sized webinars and online sales trainings to prepare the partners well for the New Normal and entering new customer segments. 

With distributors’ sales staff being temporarily laid off as a result of Covid measures, our JDE colleagues are pitching in where needed to attend meetings with clients on their distributors’ behalf.

 

Successfully launching the great taste of Cafitesse in new segments

 

Overall, sales were down, but the hygiene benefits of Cafitesse were key to getting onboard new customers in the health and care segments. With schools opening up once more in September, demand in this sector surged. As the virus continues to impact the leisure and holiday industry, one of the main segments for many partners pre-Covid, the UK sales team are actively looking to launch the great and convenient taste of Cafitesse in other segments also, including army and naval bases.
